Big Sur & Sims 4 - should I migrate / upgrade?

Hi my daughter has been playing Sims 4 for years on a Macbook Pro running Mojave.

Long story, but I need to update that Mac to Big Sur.  Does anyone know if Sims 4 is compatible with Big Sur? I have seen a lot of discussions about this when Big Sur & Sims 4 when Big Sur was in beta, but now that it's released can anyone confirm if it works on Big Sur?

Then my next question is after the update is complete, I need to move the game from the Macbook Pro to an older Macbook Air (which I will also get running Big Sur).  Is there anything I should watch out for when migrating?  Is it just a case of copying the Sims application file and folder packs to the new Mac?


Would a Time Machine migration move the Sims too?

Super grateful for any help here...

    It should work fine in Big Sur.

    I wouldn't use Time Machine to install it, just re-download through Origin, less likely to corrupt the install.

    For save, mods etc. copy over the relevant files and folders in the Documents> Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 folder. Don't copy over the Options.ini file. Just saves, Mods, Tray and Screenshots would do.
