Camera rotation and CAS sliders stuck

Ive been having this issue recently that I cant seem to fix no matter what I try. My right click camera rotation in live mode, BB, and CAS is broken and will not rotate correctly. I will right click to move the camera and the screen will not move. the only way i can move the screen is by quickly clicking, dragging, and releasing over and over and that still will only rotate the camera slightly and often in the wrong direction. I am also unable to click and drag sideways on any of my sims features to make them smaller or larger. its become very frustrating for me. Ive repaired the game several times, restarted the launcher, tried with and without CC/Mods, uninstalled origin, and switched between the sims 3 and 4 cameras  but the problem still continues. the < > keys work just fine but I prefer using the mouse for all camera function, it makes it easier for me.

Im using a 2019 Macbook pro running Monterey if that helps
