Cannot update or repair

I am on Mac Sonoma 14.5. My game is so buggy so likely needs the update, but I cannot get it past 3%. I have cleared my Cache, I have restarted my computer. I have done absolutely everything. I tried to repair and it gets stuck on 47%.

Nothing works.

My game is played from an external USB I do not have the option of moving it onto my Mac hard drive as there is no space.

I can see my EA folder is saving to my cloud, so I have dragged that to the external.

I know before people have said you need to delete certain things, and that's worked before. Please help I hate not being able to play

Do you mean you dragged the Electronic Arts folder in Documents that contains the Sims 4 folder to the external? All that will do is force the game to create a new EA folder in the Documents folder when you next launch the game.

Are you sure your Sims 4 game is installed on the external? Did you change the game installation location to the external drive in EA App > Settings > Download?

Open EA App then go to Help > App Recovery to reset it. Then try to update/repair.
