So, I recently tried to install the new update for Sims 4 as well as some of the free DLC that came with the game, but it wouldn't let me install. Would always buffer for a bit, maybe install a small bit of the update, then give me an error saying that it's unable to download. Internet is perfect, I have no connectivity issues, no space issues, still gave me the error after I restarted both application and laptop. Decided to uninstall and then reinstall Origin just in case that was the issue. I reinstalled, now I can't play the game. There's literally no launch option in Origin, and when I try to launch it from Applications, it says that I need to "first activate it on (my) EA account" with a product code? I should note that I got this game back when they were offering the full base game for free for a limited time, so I never got a product code for it. At least, not that I'm aware of- I've searched my emails just in case and there's nothing. So I'm pretty much at a loss. xD
Honestly at this point I just want to play the game again. I don't even care about the update or DLC anymore, I just don't want to loose my households. Has anyone else had these issues? If it helps for the first bit, I'm using a MacBook Pro running the 10.10.5/OS X Yosemite update (I can't update beyond that, this is an old laptop lol). Any help for either issues would be largely appreciated! ^^'
