I have to ask though, what did you hope to learn from contacting CS when you know that EA are aware of this issue and looking into it?
And yep, another full week with no update or fix because that's not how patches have ever been applied to TS4.
I get the frustration, been there many times over the years, but ranting here and continually bumping this thread won't help.
To be honest with you that’s is not okay anymore. I hope someone could at least try to calm me down instead of saying the same things over and over again. Is your sims game working? I think it’s very easy to say that when you have a playable game. I don’t want to hear they are looking into things I want to know that I will have a fix soon. I’m going to continue being vocal even if I have to write on here every day because this should of been fixed already. So don’t tell me that’s not how patches work. Glitches and bugs are understandable a broken game is not. I understand it’s a video game but it’s a video game I paid for that’s still not working on a computer that’s beyond its requirements. So don’t belittle our problem , that’s why we are still here, it’s not being taken serious

Of course it's not ok, I'm not saying it is. But there are others with problems too, others who are posting and want help getting back into their game.
It is exactly how patches work. We get them monthly normally with exceptions being when something is introduced into a patch that breaks the game, like this. But maybe they don't yet know the exact cause of this? Maybe a fix isn't actually very easy to implement? Maybe it's not actually a fix EA can implement, it's down to an Apple update? I don't actually know any of this, I'm comparing it to similar issues over the years. Sometimes EA could fix it and it took months, and sometimes they couldn't and we had to wait for an OS update with a new driver to fix it.
Why don't you think it's being taken seriously? - 6 years ago
Because my game has been completely unplayable for too long now. If they can’t give a complete fix they should give a temporary fix TODAY. This is not a small problem this is a game completely not working and no updates at all. “We’re looking into this” is not okay. And why can’t EA try to explain that to us instead of us speculating? Have they even tried to look into it since September when people originally had the issue? This is the last week of October coming up and we still only have “we’re looking into this” Totally unacceptable.

Then they need to roll back my game before The oct patch. Is the plan to put out another patch before snowy escape to break it more? I already know I’m not gonna be able to play snowy escape. I would agree with you if this was the first week of October but this is way too long now. Every passing day makes it worse.

The Feedback forum would be a good place to suggest the option to be able to roll back to a previous patch - https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Discussion-Feedback/bd-p/the-sims-4-game-information-en - Bluebellflora6 years agoHero+
Ok, can as many of you as possible please do this:
Open Terminal and copy and paste the following command then hit Return/Enter:
kextstat | grep -E -i "(amd|intel|graph)" | awk '{printf "%-50s%-20s\n",$6,$7}'Please then copy and paste the results here. This is confirming the driver versions of your AMD GPUs.
Just a reminder that EA are aware of this so all info you can add will help 🙂
It should look something like this
