EA folder in Sims 4 not being recognized!!

hey

so I had my sims 4 EA folder on an external hard drive with all my CC and mods downloaded and it has always worked just fine. I just had to update my game and now when I launch the game all my households are gone. I dont think it is recognizing my old EA folder with all my downloads and game history. is there anyway to fix this??? I have hours of CC instillation and game time in my old EA folder ☹️

Did you create a symlink to get the game to recognise the Sims 4 folder on the external? The game will not see it otherwise because it only looks in the local Documents > Electronic Arts folder. Unless you did some other jiggery-pokery to get the game to look elsewhere?
