Extra Sims 4 packs folder

So I can’t figure out what to do so I have my packs folder in the sims 4 folder where it belongs, but I also have an extra packs folder on my desktop… when I tried deleting it and then I opened my game and it said I needed all the packs that I already own. I just don’t know why I need two folders in both places for the game to work… Suggestions?

    That is not where your Sims 4 Packs folder belongs. It should never be in the Sims 4 folder that contains your saves and other user data.

    The Sims 4 Packs folder MUST be in the same location as the base game, wherever you have that installed.

    Oh okay, so no wonder it always goes to my desktop like that. Duh. That makes sense. I get it now. Thank you!
