How did you test a clean game?
Please provide full Mac specs - Apple > About This Mac.

Yeah I tested a clean game and it didn't work, I tried lowering the graphics and it seems to be working well now
I asked specifically how you tested a clean game. If lowering graphics worked that indicates your Mac was struggling to run the game before.

macOS 26.2, Apple M3
Sims 4 1.121.342
Mods removed (Modded: False)
I can play Live Mode for a while, but game crashes after extended play or when switching households.Lowering graphics increases playtime but does not prevent crash. This has been occuring since the update last week Which model Mac? iMac? Mac mini? MacBook Pro? MacBook Air? Please be more specific. If a laptop which exact one?
Removing Mods isn't enough as residual Mod data can remain in saves, Tray files and cache files. Some Mods are also installed into the game files and a clean Sims 4 folder does not address this. Try a clean folder and see if you still have issues. Instructions in the opening post of this thread I've moved your posts to.

macOS 26.2
Apple Silicon M3 (MacBook Air M3, 16GB RAM)
Game version: 1.121.372.1220
Modded: False
I performed a full clean user folder test:
- Renamed “The Sims 4” folder
- Let the game generate a new folder
- Started a brand new save
- Played and switched households successfully
No crashes in a brand new save.
I then copied back ONLY the “saves” folder (no Tray, no Mods, no options.ini, no cache files).
The large long-running save (approx. 98MB, ~961 hours) loads and plays briefly but consistently crashes during Live Mode after some simulation time or when switching households.
Crash signature remains consistent across patch versions 1.121.342 → .361 → .372.
No load errors or save errors reported in context data.
