Hi!
While I was checking out the new families in Brindleton Bay, I noticed something odd: A shiny texture completely overlays Doc, a cat which is part of the Lynx household. I know this can be caused by broken CC, but I emptied my Mods folder, as well as repaired the game and deleted old cache files. I took a closer look on it in CAS, and am now pretty sure that a cat collar (selected in the picture) is the cause of it.
My specs meet the requirements of the game, which also runs wonderfully on my MacBook. So I doubt this has something to do with my graphics card?
Model: MacBook Pro (Retina, 15', Mid 2014)
Operating System: OS X Yosemite 10.10.5
CPU: 2,5 GHz Intel Core i7
Memory: 16 GB RAM 1600 MHz DDR3
Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M 2048 MB
Has anybody an idea? Thanks in advance! 🙂
I'm also experiencing this and have created this current issue post in the Mac forum and moved yours to it. If going into CAS and back out doesn't solve it please can you move your whole Sims 4 folder to the desktop and try a new, clean game? Go into the Lynx house and the cat will still look glitched but go into CAS and back out and see if that makes a difference 🙂

@Bluebellflora Just did what you suggested, but unfortunately, the cat remains shiny. So weird that this glitch only seems to occur on some Macs. 🤔

Yes, it is affecting retina Macs. Although strange that yours is still shiny in CAS. Can you please try this and see if it still occurs in CAS. Please also move the Sims 4 folder onto your desktop from Documents > Electronic Arts so you are playing as if your game is brand new::
- In your Applications folder right click on the Sims 4 app and select Show Package Contents.
- Navigate to Contents > Mac OS.
- Right click on The Sims 4 and select Move to Trash. Don't drag the file as it will only move an alias and leave the original in place. If there is another file in the folder, The Sims 4.par, leave it alone.
- Now open Origin, click on The Sims 4 in your Games Library and click on Download.

@Bluebellflora Thank you for the suggestion! 🙂 I still have to try this out. Just a quick question, because I'm constantly worried about pretty much anything: Is this a risky thing to do?
