Game crashes at the sims 4 page, does not even go to main menu

For the last few days every time I try to open the sims 4 it crashes on the sims 4 graphic. It does not even go to the main page before crashing. I cannot play the game at all. 

I do not have any mods or cc. Never have. I uninstalled and reinstalled, which did not change the issue. I deleted everything ea and sims related from my computer (Mac) and it still did not do anything.
