Game Crashes Before Launch

Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? Cannot Check, as game will not open. Updated July 25.
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Most. I can't open the game to give the full list.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I launch the game from the EA App. The game opens. Before going fullscreen, as usual, the game crashes.
What happens when the bug occurs? The game closes.
What do you expect to see? The game to load (ie, the plumbob screen)
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. An update downloaded when I got home from work, lining up with the time frame of the fix put out for Teen skills UI bug.

Troubleshooting I have tried: removing all mods, using the EA Play apps' "Repair" option, uninstalling and reinstalling the game.
