Game crashes constantly, no pattern found

For the past few updates, whenever I play the game there is a high likelihood of the game randomly crashing out of nowhere. I will have the game up and then suddenly the game closes and takes me back to the EA app as if I've exited the game myself. No freezing or error code given, just suddenly it closes. This is immensely frustrating as I lose hours of gameplay and progress and makes me not want to play, knowing I'll likely lose it all anyway. Maybe it happens more often outside of CaS or Build mode, but that may be just because I'll spend more time out of those anyway. If anyone/EA have any ideas, please let me know, I'm kinda desperate. I wish we had an autosave feature where it saved every so often, as I will forget to save for a while and then it happens. If people try to tell me to just remember to save more often, I don't think I should have to be militantly saving my game in case the game decides to go poof. I play on a Mac if that helps.

    Autosave is not good if your game saves at a point you can never go back to because of an issue. Manual saves are always preferred.

    Follow these instructions to start with a clean Sims 4 folder and only move your existing save, not anything else, into the newly created Sims 4 folder [INSTRUCTIONS] How to troubleshoot and test a broken game | EA Forums - 11864548 

    When the game crashes again see if there is a lastException or lastCrash file in the Sims 4 folder from when it crashed. If there is please copy/paste the contents of those files into a post here.
