Game doesn't launch on the new EA app

Hi!

My game was working fine until yesterday, and then randomly stopped working. I was forced to move to this new app a few days ago.

I hit play, the Sims icon pops up as if it is launching but then it disappears and just goes back to the EA app.

I deleted/reinstalled the EA app, my MacOS is fully updated, tried a billion restarts and safe mode and nothing works.

Reached out on chat and was only told that the EA app isn't available for Mac yet (your website isn't updated and the tech support team is clearly not being trained on this). After the troubleshooting above I was told that too bad, they don't know and there is nothing else they can do to help me since their resources say the app doesn't exist yet, sorry if the app isn't working. And I was referred here in hopes other players, not even a team member, would have a fix.

So, rant over, anyone having the same issue and any ideas on what could solve this?
