Game lagging and freezing making game unplayable!

I got sims 4 a week ago and it’s been constantly lagging and freezing, I’ve got no mods or CC I’ve never had them either I’ve tried everything to repairing my game, uninstalling and reinstalling and ...

• model is: MacBook Pro(13inch, Mid 2012)

•Processor: 2.9 GHz Intel code i7

•Memory:8GB 1333 MHz DDR3

•Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 4000 1536 MB

    Thanks. The lag is most probably because your Mac is struggling to render and power the game. Make sure you have all your in-game graphics settings on low and avoid heavily populated lots. Enabling laptop mode will definitely help.

    You should also update your OS.
