Re: Unable to start: The Sims 4 is already running - Mac only

For the last few days I have been unable to start my game.  I try to start but I get an error saying it is already running.  I've tried locating and deleting a file that has been recommended elsewhere, I've tried repairing the game.  The ONLY thing that works is removing my game from the EA folder on my computer and reinstalling everything, however since I have a ton of EPs, constantly uninstalling and reinstalling is not practical.  I have mods and CC and I've removed them all to see if one was causing the issue, but it didn't help.

I've tried looking online for solutions but all the posts I can find are several years old.
