Game won't start with cc or mods installed

So, since the latest patch update I’ve been having a weird issue with my game...

Whenever I play with any types of CC or smaller mods, my game won’t start!

It goes to the screen that says "The Sims 4" and then halts, either just stops, or the rainbow wheel appears, and I have to force it to shut down!

It somehow works with the MCC and WW folders still in the mods folder, but the second I put anything else in; nothing!!!

I’d rather not play without my CC as my savefiles are filled with stuff and I’d have to remake everything 😩

I play on a iMac, new last year and updated! I’ve uninstalled and re-installed both origin and the game itself!

Any tips or ideas?
