I turned on post processing. Sometimes shadows do disappear when in hover over things but that’s way Easter to live with then square shadows!
Ok ill do that know, They live on the lot across from the langrabs in Oasis springs. Just look up seaside simmer in the player id section

Thanks. I added the house and household and don't have the glitch so it's not the sims, or lighting on this lot. I'm currently on a 16" M3 Max MacBook Pro running Sonoma. I could test on my M1 MacBook Air too.

Here are mine at the moment, ive been messing around with them allot to try and find the least laggy game, i would have the lighting and some others higher but it made the glitch show up less. and edge smoothing just makes my game supper laggy

i have a mac mimi Monterey 12.7.6 it says
it says macOS Monterey mac mini (late 2014) graphics intel iris 1536 MB. there are other sections there but i dont think they matter

I am also having the same problem after the last patch. The only solution i could find to have a clear game(without the black shade) is to tick Post processing Effects and Uncrompressed Sim Texture. Before i never used Post Processing Effects but honestly, using both of them game doesn't look that clear anymore. I really hope Maxis team will find a solution for us as well, especially now when the game looks bright and clear than ever.
