Help! Sims 4 won't install on mac

So I have been trying for 4 days now to install the Sims 4 on my Mac computer.  I've done the live chat with a rep and no results.  I've had someone call me and walk me through some trouble shooting.  They had me check for software issues, none found.  I've done the verify/ repair permissions nothing still.  I've deleted and added Origin on my mac same problem, no solutions and now I've been waiting for over 2 hours for EA to contact me again to see what else could be done to get this game started.  I hope my money hasn't gone to waste.  Right now the game is downloading again, and once it's finished I'm sure I'll once again press install and nothing happens.  I need help!

    You will have to update your Mac OS to 10.7.5 or later in order to run Sims 4. The game will not run on OS version 10.6 or older. Sorry.

    Ok so I posted before that I was having trouble installing Sims 4.  Well turned out the OS for my mac did not meed sys requirements, I learned from another post that Yosemite 10.10.4 is free in the apple app store.  i went to the store and downloaded and after it was finished I started to download the sims 4 again.  It's currently still downloading but I did notice the options were a little different so I'm feeling like this time it may work and I may actually get to play my game.  I hope that this will be helpful to others.  My initial problem was once I waited hours for the game to download it would not install, and when I would shut down and go back to it, it would do it all over again.  Then prior to when it gives you the option to select the language it would be blank.  Now I'm just waiting and hoping that this works

    Can I please get an update on this? I'm currently having the same problem from a 10.6 mac and wondering if this worked. :-)
