HELP! What can I delete from the sims 4 folder to stop game from crashing? (Mac)
Ok, try to stick with me on this! I need the help because I do not understand much about how games work, computers, etc. My Sims 4 has been crashing recently (have lost much progress in building a huge lot and many other times) and I cannot figure out why. I have searched all the forums and everyone basically says to delete CC and mods. I do not have any that I am aware of. I have downloaded a few lots from the gallery, but do not really know what to do about that. Need more detailed instructions...
Main concern: What is supposed to be in my sims 4 folder in the finder on mac and what is not?
For sims 3 I would delete CASPartCache.package, compositerCache.package, scriptCache.package, simCompositorCache.package, socialCache.package, and the thumbnails folder every time before I opened the game and it was the only thing that stopped my game from crashing (I read it from a forum years ago).
What would be this equivalent for sims 4? I cannot figure it out on my own. I have tried deleting things that I thought did not belong and now I am deciding that is not smart.... haha please help if you can. Many internet points to you.
