I deleted my mods folder how to get it back?

Hi, I play the sims 4 on a mac and I recently accidentally deleted my mods folder to free up space. I then emptied my trash bin. I've tried everything online and none of it works. My game doesn't newly generate a new mods folder when I open it. What should I do?

Thanks. The problem is the file path. The Sims 4 folder needs to be directly in Users > [your user account] > Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4. Yours is in a previous iCloud Drive folder which is now archived. Move the Sims 4 folder (or just Mods folder, whichever you prefer) to the correct location and the game will load the data. Do you have the check boxes ticked for customs content and Mods in the in-game options?

Yes, I do I have the enabled mods checked and scripted mods checked.

Ok. Did you try creating a folder manually in the Sims 4 folder? It must be called Mods with a capital M.

Yes I did but I don’t think the game recognizes it because it still won’t work for my mods.

Is there a resource.cgf file in the Mods folder you created? Could you please click on the Mods folder you created once, to highlight it, then go to File > Get Into in the menu bar and copythe file path that shows under General > Where and paste it here.

Yes there is a resource.cfg but after I select the folder, how do I go to file and do everything else? When I highlight the mods folder, then hit control, file doesn't show up.

You don't press the Control key, you go to File > Get Info:
