Does this only apply to Lion, or all versions following Lion as well? I currently play on a Mac running Mojave.

@Lyndsay_Land This currently only applies to Mac OS X 10.7 Lion. As of today, macOS Mojave is the latest version of Mac so you shouldn't have to worry about your computer becoming unsupported yet.

yea I run that as well and I'm unsure but it won't let me play without updating it ???????/

  Try setting Origin to Offline Mode. Account menu > Go Offline. You may not be required to update if in Offline Mode.
