Hi, I am a MacBook Air M4 user and I have recently encountered this issue. At first, I thought the lag was caused by high graphics settings, resolution, or having too many Sims on the lot. However, even with a clean save file and absolutely no mods or CC, the issue persists whether I set the graphics to the lowest settings or the default highest settings.
During my testing, I also tried enabling and disabling V Sync, as well as turning off the Uncompressed Sim Textures option. The in game resolution was not set to the maximum 4K either.
I discovered that the lag triggers specifically when a Sim uses a computer or a TV. After about 10 to 15 seconds of interaction, the entire game becomes extremely laggy. Interestingly, as soon as I delete the computer and TV from the lot, the problem completely disappears.
