OK, let's start from the beginning. You have a late 2009 27" iMac, 2.66Ghz i5, 12Gb RAM, ATI Radeon HD 4850 512Mb, running OS X Mavericks 10.9.5, correct? Can you please also tell me the following:
- How much space is available on your hard drive?
- Are you launching the game from within Origin or from the App in your Applications folder?
- What error are you getting? Does the game run at all? Or will it not load past Origin? Or will Origin not open?
- Are you running antivirus or a 3rd party Firewall? Is your built in Firewall enabled (System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Firewall)
- Are you using Mods/CC?
Now, which of the following basic troubleshooting steps have you already tried:
- Right clicking on the game in Origin and selecting Repair Game.
- Moving your Sims 4 folder from Documents > Electronic Arts onto your desktop and trying to launch the game again.
- Logging out of Origin and logging back in again.
- Uninstalling the game, redownloading and reinstalling it.
