Re: Sims 4 - Packs missing from EA app

Since the July 21, 2026 update (Mac build 1.126.58.1230), several expansion packs, a stuff pack, and a kit that I purchased and had been playing with for about a week suddenly stopped being recognized by the EA App and the game.

Packs affected:

  • EP01 — Get to Work
  • EP04 — Cats & Dogs
  • EP08 — Discover University
  • EP12 — Cottage Living
  • EP15 — High School Years
  • SP14 — Toddler Stuff
  • SP16 — My First Pet Stuff
  • SP72 — Modern Luxe Kit

Why this looks like an entitlement/account sync issue, not a missing-files or purchase issue:

  • I was charged for all of these purchases.
  • I played with them successfully for about a week before the update.
  • My existing saved games still contain content from these packs (e.g., Cats & Dogs pets/items), confirming they were properly installed and licensed.
  • The DLC files themselves are still present locally on my Mac under Applications → The Sims 4 Packs (EP01, EP04, EP08, EP12, EP15, FP01, SP14, SP16, SP72 folders all still exist).
  • Since the update, the EA App no longer lists these packs as owned — they appear as purchasable/available for purchase instead, and are missing from the DLC/add-on listing entirely rather than just showing "uninstalled."

What I've ruled out:

  • Not a corrupted/incomplete installation — local pack folders are intact.
  • Not a Mods/CC conflict — checked "View Custom Content" and only mods appear there, as expected; EPs/SPs/Kits aren't listed in that section regardless.
  • Correct EA account confirmed signed in.

Already reported to EA:
Report ID: ca352998-eb4e-4be7-9c61-396d9cb8199a

Platform: Mac (Apple Silicon M1)
Game version: 1.126.58.1230 (July 21, 2026 update — introduced Memory Boost, save/autosave changes, performance/stability changes)

Current diagnosis: The DLC files are still installed locally, but EA's system is no longer recognizing the account entitlements for these purchases following the July 21 update. This points to an entitlement/license sync issue tied to the update, not a local installation or purchase problem.

Has anyone else had previously-working, previously-charged packs suddenly show as "Purchase" instead of "Owned" after this specific update? Looking for confirmation this is a known/tracked issue, or any additional steps beyond what's already been reported.

I've attempted to go through the chat, but it re-routes me to the Forum without allowing me to talk to a representative for assistance.

    Hey CG_pen2thepage

Thanks for taking the time to share what you're experiencing in such detail.

It sounds like you're likely signed in on the wrong EA account. You'll need to be signed in on the same account you used to purchase the packs for them to appear, even if they're installed on your device. Can you confirm by checking your Order History page? If you're signed in on the correct account, that page should populate with your past transactions. On the same page, please check whether the 'Member since' message reflects when you began playing The Sims 4.

I've merged your post to the main thread for this topic in the meantime, so please check out the accepted solution for more information.
