[MAC] Unable to install Sims 3 Late Night Expansion pack

My Late Night expansion was working great until I got an update patch.  Then  I reinstalled everything and it Sims will only work on the original Sims 3 disk, not the Late Night expansion.  If it can't be fixed, how do I unpatch it?
