Macbook Air Graphics

Hey all!

I have a 2017 13" Macbook Air with absolutely nothing on it except Sims 4 and every single expansion, game, stuff, and kit pack. I do not have mods or custom content and I have updated the game several times but I can't get the game to play smoothly and have a good image. If anyone has the same computer and can give me some advice regarding the best graphics settings that would be great.

Please can you provide more information about your Mac. Instructions on how to do so and what to provide here - http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-Mac/READ-FIRST-Sims-4-Mac-Help-Guides-and-Troubleshooting/m-p/4612396/highlight/true#M162

MacBook Airs have very weak graphics capability. It doesn't matter how much stuff you have installed on your Mac, unless it's running out of space which does affect performance, nothing will improve the graphics power. The optimal graphics settings are the ones the game loads at default, before you edit the in-game options. Laptop mode would also be essential on an aging MacBook Air. With all packs installed your machine will be struggling to render the game environment which significantly contributes to lag and frustrating gameplay.

Not what you want to hear, I know ☹️
