Missing Mods Folder

I've been playing sims 4 for a while but deleted it a long time ago as I stopped. I redownloaded it as I'm getting back into it and I always played with mods and cc so I know how to insert them into the game but when I redownloaded it there was no mods folder. I contacted EA asking for help and someone told me to just create a Mods folder and that it would work but it didn't. I contacted them again and because mods are not supported by EA they were unable to help and redirected me here. Mods are enabled in my game so I know that that's not the problem. I have no clue what to do or how to fix this.

  • @Loupi3 The Mods folder is created automatically in the The Sims 4 folder at:

    ~/Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/

Is this where you're looking to see if the folder exists?
  • Yes but when i downloaded it recently there wasn’t one at all. i already deleted and reinstalled the sims4 and there was still no mods folder. this time downloading it, in over a year, was weird too. extra “things” that i have never seen when i downloaded the sims 4 before.

  • i’ll post a screenshot when i get to my computer soon to let you know what i mean.

  • These are the weird files that got downloaded to my computer when I downloaded The Sims 4 recently. I have never seen these files or had these files downloaded on my computer when I installed The Sims 4 in the past.
