Here are the two pictures. This is after I removed my mods folder and deleted the localthumbcache.package file. The changes are kind of slight in this but the sims face is obviously blurred as well as some of the background objects. The shadows also seem to be affected.
gloomytraitt yes, ever so slightly blurry bit not to the point where the graphics look awful. Could you post a screenshot of your in-game graphics options? Which specific model Mac are you playing on and which version of macOS?

My mac model is the 2024 model of the MacBook pro and the macOS is Sequoia 15.3.1. I upgraded my computer a few months ago and this issue wasn't happening on my old 2015 MacBook pro so I don't think its an issue with the model. It was also fine for the first few months of having it, this just randomly started happening a month ago.
Here is a picture of my graphics settings.
I know the graphics issue isn't major and my game runs fine otherwise so it's not the worst issue to have, mostly just an aesthetic issue, its just annoying enough to bother me when I play, especially since it was fine up till a few weeks ago.

It also looks worse in some saves compared to others.

Which specific chip does your Mac have? Apple > About This Mac. I have the 16" M4 Max. This is what my sim looks like. I've cropped and zoomed in for detail but took one photo in live mode and one in live mode with the tab camera:

I have the 14” M3. But again, it ran perfectly fine with no visual blurs on my older MacBook and it was fine on my laptop up until a few weeks ago.
