i have an issue which only started today where any time i try and load in full screen, my game is laggy, but it works perfectly fine in windowed screen. Can anyone please help me with this? I could play on ultra perfectly in full screen until today. I've repaired, deleted and reinstalled, cleared cache, removed mods yet it still loads laggy. i'm on the m5 mac air!
horrendous black squares appearing beneath Sim
Hello, Whenever I want to put the Lighting on 'Medium/High/Very High', a black square flickers underneath my Sims when I have my cursor over them. (photo included), it is jarring and makes the game feel buggy. I bought my iMac in 2026, this should not be a problem with the computer being unable to do something, although it might be a MacOS and Sims compatibility problem. I have tried removing all of my mods, nothing, repairing the Sims 4, nothing, changing the SSAO in the .sgr, nothing. I have tried asking AI and it just tells me to do what I have already tried. I don't use a CC overlay, mostly just the base game and a few packs here and there.. The only thing that seems to work is using 'Laptop Mode ON', but I do not want to use Laptop Mode ON, the entire point of having a good computer is that I don't have to have the game look terrible. I figure either EA doesn't know about this problem, or Mac users are just giving in to the Laptop Mode. I don't know what to make of this.
Mac cursor showing instead of in-game
Every time I load the game the in game cursor doesn't show up and it only shows my own mac one. I took my whole mod folder out and it is still showing, I have tried changing my resolution and windowing my game but nothing seems to be working. I've attached a video showing the issue
First-person camera randomly stabilized
When using the Sims 4 first-person camera (Shift + Tab), the camera no longer tilts or sways at all. It stays perfectly level and stabilized during every animation (walking, standing, interacting, turning, etc.) Previously, there was subtle camera tilt/sway that followed the Sim’s movement, which made first-person feel fluid. Now the camera feels completely locked, as if all camera interpolation or tilt has been disabled. First person itself still works, but the camera no longer responds to any animation with tilt or sway. I was wondering why that is and how to get it back to being chaotic and unstable?

None of the controls at the bottom of the screen appear when I try to play a Sim; then when I try to exit and press the Manage Worlds button, the entire screen goes black. I tried repairing the game and uninstalling and reinstalling the EA app, but it keeps happening. I do not use mods at all, so I know that that is not the cause.Scary glitch with everything
soo I was playing and then this happened. It’s not my computer. No mods or cc. Restarting did luckily fix it. So earlier I accidentally backed up everything to the iCloud Drive. I managed to recover everything thankfully and I’m slowly adding things back in. After putting my mods back in, the game for some reason makes my desktop ui bigger and somewhat glitchy with my folders that are on the desktop. It still does this after removing my mods as well. Any reason as to why and how to fix this? This has never happened to me before and I have no idea where to begin to fix it. My saves and tray files are also backed up. However, I’m about 2 updates behind. Is my game not being updated causing this possibly? Like I said, I’m at a loss for what to do as I’ve never had this happen before. How do I fix this? Is it even fixable?
