My Progress is gone

Hi,

My name is Katie, and I have been playing The Sims 4 since 2016. Today I updated my game, and it said it did not recognize my  Video Card, so I restarted the game and went back into the game. I noticed that all my progress on my computer is gone, all my past play-throughs, buildings, families, everything.  So I tried to repair it in the EA app, but nothing changed. It could be something on my end with my computer, but it hasn't had any issues in the years I have played on it. Is there anything I can do or suggestions?
