My Sims4 will not Launch on Mac

My Sims 4 will not launch on Mac. My game played fine for about a week when I purchased it through the download on the EA website. Then the Sims began freezing and not taking commands. After trouble shooting for days and hours with the unhelpful advisers on EA I have gotten nowhere. I have done re installs of everything, emptied folders and trash. Played in safe mode. Followed the Questions forum's advice closely with no success. No mods etc. Now my game will not even launch when I try to start it up. Has anyone had any successful resolutions to any of these issues on a Mac? Not Windows PC. Is Sims 4 not compatible on Mac even though they claim it is? I am not the only person with these problems and getting a refund on the game does not seem like an option that EA is willing to provide us with. This cannot be legal? Do I smell a class action lawsuit? I would prefer a resolution if anyone has any? Please stay on the subject of the stated problems. Thanks so much.

  • Hi @sophia2214,

We need more info about your Mac 🙂

Click on the Apple icon in the top left corner of your desktop and select About This Mac. Please provide the following information (you may need to click on "More Info" depending on what operating system you're running:

    - Operating System (Version)
    - Mac model
    - Processor
    - Memory (RAM)
    - Graphics

    - Are you running any antivirus?
    - Do you have Time Machine/Spotify/Dropbox or similar running?

    - Have you tried to repair the game in Origin? Right click on the game in My Games and select Repair Game.
    - Do you use CC/Mods? If so, have you tried removing them and seeing if that fixes your problem?
