Have you launched the game through Origin yet? The Sims 4 folder is created in an Electronic Arts folder in your Documents folder after you launch the game for the first time. yes I did, still no sims 4 folder in my documents
Please open Terminal and copy and paste the following command then hit Enter/Return:
find ~ -type d -name "*The Sims 4*" 2>/dev/null
After a little while it will return the results of the search. Please copy and paste the results in a post here.
/Users/NAME/Applications/The Sims 4 Packs
/Users/NAME/Applications/The Sims 4.app
/Users/Name/Applications/The Sims 4.app/Contents/Resources/The Sims 4.app
NAME@NAME-MacBook-Air ~ %
this is what it said when I copy paste that what you said.

Thanks. Can you open the game, play for a bit then save and quit then do that Terminal search again. played for a bit and I think it's the same thing as before

Yep looks the same. Did you save it?
Launch the game and click on load game then hover over one of the households to see the file path:
this is what I see

Ok, they’re saving at least. Have you looked in the iCloud Drive > Documents folder? Not User > Documents. You should see iCloud Drive under iCloud in the Finder sidebar.
