Origin download permission error (Mac)

When downloading the sims 4 seasons, I get this: "Origin needs to download files and is waiting for permission. Please choose "Yes" when Windows prompts you for permission."but have a Mac??? I used to play on a windows computer. 

Hey @56Gemini are you trying to download the Mac version of the game or are you running a virtual OS?

@56Gemini  I've moved your post to the Mac section (and changed the title of the thread), since troubleshooting Origin in macOS is very different than in Windows.

Please try running the Origin reset tool:

If that doesn't help, please take a screenshot of the error and attach it to a post.

hi! I'm trying to download the seasons expansion pack onto into the sims 4 on my Mac

Unfourtanetly, this did not work.When I opened up origin I got a message that says this: 

it also says this at the top right corner

on top of all this, I get a message saying : Origin is not able to download The Sims™ 4 Seasons to /Users/klandsman56/Applications/The Sims 4.app/Contents/EP05/Strings_ENG_US.package_DiP_STAGED.

Please check that the location is available or cancel and restart the download to another location.

Could you please:

1. Right click on the Sims 4 app in your Applications folder and select Show Package Contents form the menu that appears
2. Navigate to Contents > EP05 
3. Open the Version.ini file in the EP05 folder, if prompted for an application to open it with select TextEdit
4. Please copy and paste all the text from that file into a post here.

hi, there is no version ini in my epo5 folder?
