Origin Won't Launch on Mac because of 'Hardware Requirements'

Hi there,

So when I tried to play Sims 4, like I have since I downloaded it earlier this week (which was a pain to download because of 'not responding' issues) it gave me an error. The error basically said my mac did not meet the 'Hardware Requirements'. I looked and I am pretty sure my mac meets the requirements. So I removed Origin from my mac and tried downloading it again (after multiple failed 'not responding' attempts) until a window finally popped up. It was the 'Hardware Requirements' error AGAIN

(By the way I'm running a macbook pro (retina, 15-inch, mid 2014), Processor: 2.5 GHz Intel Core i7, I have well over 45 GB available storage, and Graphics: Intel Iris Pro 1536 MB. Plus all my software is updated.)

Is there some special requirement that I don't know about that they decided mac needed overnight? Is anyone else having this issue? Am I doing something wrong? Is there a setting I should change? I have no idea what to do at this point. Any help would be great because I just started playing Sims and this is a pain in my butt.

Thanks.

Typically, on all other systems besides Apple, it is the drivers being out of date that is triggering that message.

I wouldn't have any of their products personally, however, I can moved this to the Mac forum for you.
