Re: [WORKAROUND] game/Mac freezes on Apple silicon Macs

Hello,

I am experiencing problems with my Sims 4 game. Every time I play, after a few minutes of smooth gameplay, when I rotate the camera, the screen freezes, but I can still hear the sounds of my game continuing to play. The only option I have found to “de-freeze” my computer is to shut it down completely. It often happens after I've been able to play normally and therefore rotate normally for a few minutes. 

Things I did to try and solve the issue but failed:

• Deleted all mods and cc
• Moved the Sims 4 folder to the desktop and ran a brand new save and game
• Clicked “Repair the game” on Origin
• Shut down all apps running at the same time as Origin
• Reinstalled The Sims 4 and all packs
• Lowered the graphics

Operating system (Version): macOS Big Sur (Version 11.4)

Mac Model: MacBook Air 13-inch

Processor: M1 (2020)

Memory (RAM): 8 GB

Graphics: Color LCD display (Built-in Retina)
