my game is not opening. i open the ea app to launch the game, it says launching, the icon shows up in my hotbar, but it just. doesn't open. i try directly opening the sims, it doesnt open. please help

im having this isuue and spent $30 on DLC before seeing if everything worked. im so bummed out i've troubleshooted everything from chat GPT.
Have you checked your System Settings if there's an OS update needed and tried that way? I would also open Activity Monitor and force quit any applications which could be interfering with the launch then retry launching the Sims directly from the Applications folder.

i figured it out guys! i had a mod i had downloaded that said it was downloaded in 2007 for some reason and it was messing with my game.
