This is not a Mac forum so I will give you links here to the Mac forum. There you can look for solutions to this problem.
However, I would reinstall Origin because I do not think the rules for Windows or Mac were different when it comes to the game.

the game won't run unless you have both Origin and the Sims 4 installed on the same drive as your OS
