Re: Sims 4 Crashing on my Mac

A few times I opened the game, I was able to load up a save, maybe enter CAS or load up a few commands int he queue, but my sims freeze, the screen will appear frozen, time continues. After a few of this trying to troubleshoot in game, my game will all of a sudden shut down sort of resetting my computer. I repaired my game in the EA app after removing my basic mods that had been updated (MCCcommand center and UI cheats extension), i could still load up my game but same freezing thing occurs when i load up a save and if i try to start a whole new game, it freezes after a few clicks and shuts down my whole system and restarts. When I didn't click into a specific family and just moved around to worlds, i could easily view the world, and read descriptions, the issues happen if i try to edit the world or play a family. This has been happening over the past week, before the update came out, so i had been taken my mods out the game and have been trying to troubleshoot. But since the update i cant get any gameplay in at all.

I tried this method, the issue persists, The game opens fine like normal, but when i got into CAS, after pressing any option, the game freezes and my computer shuts down and restarts. 

Do you have vsync enabled ? if not, please enable it. Do you now only have freezing in CAS ?

Thanks for your continued responses. I dont know what vsync is. how would I enable it? And i also assume this could also be an issue of updating my computer system as the issues started after I updated my mac to the new Tahoe system and maybe EA hasn't updated the game for that yet?

also the game freezez in cas as well as regular gameplay. pretty much upon opening and loading the game, i can load up a command, my sim will not move or interact with anything.

You can find vsync in your graphics options in the game
