For me my Edge Smoothing was off and I thought "Hey, lets put it on high". So I did and it fixed it!

- Ettani958 years agoNot applicableMy screen has been flickering for MONTHS, it's been driving me crazy cause I tried changing everything in the settings, removed all my CC, repaired my game. Nothing worked. I've had trouble finding anyone else who seemed to have the same problem. Now I tried this and everything is wonderful! Thank You!
Just added this fix to the Sims 4 Mac help thread - thanks for the feedback everyone, very much appreciated!
- Anonymous8 years agoNot applicableThis isn’t helping my game it’s just making it worse. Please could you get back to me on how to get rid of it. If I put the edge smoothing on high it gets worse.
Please can you provide more information about your Mac. Instructions on how to do so here - http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-Mac/READ-FIRST-Sims-4-Mac-Help-Guides-and-Troubleshooting/m-p/4612396/highlight/true#M162

I could kiss you on the mouth. I don't know why this worked per se but it did so thank you. The flickering was to the point that the game was unplayable and the edge scrolling thing took it away entirely.

Ok no problem!! Also follow me on Instagram if you have it @chrristinarenee ! 😉
- htch997 years agoNot applicableWhere do I find the graphic settings to fix this?

Game Options - Graphics - Edge Smoothing.
Switching from High to Medium did not solve the problem completely for me, but it went from severe to negligible. Thank you very much!

Again I know this is super old but I tried all suggested on the first 2 pages of this thread before realising my resolution wasn't correct! XD
That sorted my issue, should have had it on my correct screen res (1920x1080).
DOH!

Had the same issue.
I repaired game in origin and made sure it was also in laptop mode.
Now all my graphic settings are on medium apart from sims.
It stopped it right away!
