After updating my computer and game, all of my sims 4 save files and mods are no where to be seen. When I open the game it acts as if I have never played it before. When I go into my sims 4 folder it doesn't even show that any saves exist, same with my mods. This is upsetting because I have put so many years into that save game and to have it gone is devastating. Is there any way to retrieve my files?
I found the save folder and mod folder. On my Mac they were in a different folder in documents labeled documents. But when I transferred them back into the sims 4 folder in the correct places it didn't work. The game didn't see them as existing, when I entered the game it still acted like I never played before. Did it get disconnected from the documents folder some how?
