Thanks. That's pretty clear. There is a Sims 4 folder in your iCloud Documents folder, four in the Trash and that's it. Where did you think the rest were?

I knew i had put 4 into the trash because they didn't have any mods or save files in them. The one in my icloud I cant seem to get back. If i try moving it from the cloud drive to my desktop or documents folder it just says "preparing to move" with a loading bar but doesn't actually move it anywhere. and even tho this folder in the icloud does have some cc/mods and saves in it, it doesn't have as nearly many as i originally had before doing the mac update.

Files don’t just randomly delete themselves. iCloud has done what it’s meant to, stored files in the cloud. You still have it enabled, you need to free up space and disable it. Have you used any apps that claim to free up space on your Mac?- 2 years ago
yes i know that’s why it’s so odd that i can’t find them. i already un-selected desktop and document folders from going to icloud. and i also turned off optimize max storage. both of which i did last night. the only thing i had done for storage was the optimize mac option. my mac currently has 24GB of space available, my icloud is only 5GB and is already full. is my icloud what i need to delete even more items from? if i upgraded my icloud storage would that work?
