I've recently run into issues with my sims game. On monday i was deleting files to try and free up space on my mac so i could update it. I was sure to not go into my sims folder when doing so. When the update finished over half my mods were gone and my saves weren't showing up. I ended up removing all my mods because they were really old versions that i had deleted ages ago. My most recent saves were from March 31, 2023 - April 2nd, 2023. All i really care about is getting my most recent save files back. I've recovered some files that show the correct date and time stamp for when i played. But when i try to open them in game they don't have a name just the name they would have in my saves folder ex: slot_0000003. these save files don't have a thumbnail and aren't up to date with the last time i played. plus all the lots have either a green or orange ! above them. For example one of the last families i played with was a mom, her boyfriend and her 2 child sims. but when trying to recover the game it's that save but much earlier on, the mother is single and has 1 toddler and 1 kid. It's been about a month since her kids were toddlers... i really don't want to have to redo a whole months worth of gameplay. The same thing is happening with the build world i have, it's loading a much older version that doesn't include the new builds ive been working on for the past month. I have some things saved in my library but not a ton. i think i have wayyyy too many save files and it's messing things up? i used my icloud to recover old saves in case i had deleted some, but even so it didn't help and i just have way to many saves now. also when loading into my game it will sometimes say my packs aren't installed when they are. and i get pop ups for every single one of my packs as if i just bought them. if anyone could help i'd be super grateful, i really don't want to lose my progress and im dying to play again!!! its been almost a week now ☹️
