@puzzlezaddict hi! I'm having the same issue as above and found your answer helpful, just an issue (on my part) - how do I know where Sims stores/reads my saved files? I've gone through so many threads and technical support pages. I've attached 2 screenshots of where all my saved games have gone (I have not moved them there) and the file info for the one saved game I'm trying to load.
I've completely disconnected iCloud to my documents and have been able to fix other game issues from this same folder, but for some reason - when I start up Sims 4, the "Load Game" button is not there..

@SunnivaAppel The immediate problem is that your save names all have extra characters in them, e.g. Slot_00000002 8.save or Slot_00000004.save 3.ver2 . In order for Sims 4 to read them, the saves need to have the exact format Slot_ followed by an eight-digit hexidecimal (0 to 9, a to f) number followed by .save , with nothing else. So please rename the saves so they have that format. Make sure each one has a unique number.
The .verx extensions denote backups, and they can be used if the .verx is deleted and the rest of the save name is in the proper format.
To answer your original question, here's how to find the user folder, and therefore the saves folder, Sims 4 is actually reading:

I have delete those that have the extra Ver in them and the only ones left in the files are the ones without it and it doesn’t show up properly in my game as anything. It’s like they were completely wiped. Not just that but my Gallery is not showing anything that I have saved wether it was mine or other people. Not even online. I have officially reached out to the EA team because I just don’t know what to do and nothing is helping

If you’ve permanently deleted the backup saves, ending in .verX, and you don’t have the original save it corresponds to, as seems likely based on all the save files returned in the Terminal search, then yes, you’ve permanently deleted the saves you don’t seem to be able to locate.
