I'm having issues with my saves. I recently switched laptops in November 2023 and transferred everything over through the cloud successfully, however, I've recently tried to go back to previous saves to undo separate mod issues that have come up. The only mod I use is MCCC for reference. When I go into my saves folder, I see all of my old saves from my previous laptop, which stopped in April 2023. I was using my sister's laptop profile to play the game until I bought my new laptop, and was able to transfer those files over and pick up where I left off in my new laptop.
Now, present March 2024, I go back into my saves folder expecting to see all of my saved game versions from November through present, and I only see up to version 4. The game has been overwriting my manual saves after 4 versions and starts again from the most recent. I'm unable to access any of the previous saves over the most 4 recent versions, which as of today is March 17-20 (5 versions, aside from the main .save file). I I have no idea why the game isn't storing all my saves like it used to on my old MacBook Pro. I still have saves from 2016 for reference,
Please help! I need to prevent this from happening in the future, at the very least.
Thank you. I’ll check and see if it has to do with my optimizing Mac storage, however, the sims 4 file is on my desktop, not on my iCloud. Additionally, only the iCloud files from my final saves in my laptop are there (April 2024).
