So I decided to get back into the Sims randomly yesterday after not playing for years...so I had to do the update Origin to EA, no big deal, got it all up and running perfectly fine! I started a new game, made my sims, started a world and played for a solid 4 hours. I saved EVERYTHING. And triple checked it to make sure I wasn't going to lose anything (because I hadn't played in so long, wasn't sure I was doing it right, ya know.) I get to the main screen, shows the loaded save, all good. Closed the sims and EA, good night...Go to get on again today- GONE. It was like I'd never gotten on at all...It had me reclaim my log in prize (or whatever that is) and then showed "New Game" but nothing about loading up a save. Literally NO option for it. So I start scrambling, looking for any way to get it to work and somehow my sims I made yesterday are still in my library, but this save is NOWHERE to be found. So I said alright, fine, I'll start over, must've done something wrong. I load in the sims I used yesterday, start my game and put in hours worth of work into a new game (probably 8 or 9 hours). I go to grab some dinner, save game, made sure it was saved, quadruple checked. Looked at the main screen, *it is there*, I load it back up- everything's fine. So I resave again, knowing all is well, close Sims, close EA, go to dinner. Now here I am, post-dinner, load EA and Sims back up and ONCE AGAIN- load game, resume game, whatever it is- is GONE and the only option is New Game...Y'all what is going on?
EDIT: Ok, so, after some long winded trouble shooting I found my saves folder wasn't in the right spot- cool, that works now- however, all it pulled up was my saves from 2019 (aka the last time I played sims.) Despite my saves from yesterday being in the folder- they refuse to show up. I even went as far as to trash all my old files in hopes my newer ones would show but they won't. Help!!
- crinrict2 years agoHero+@deninabin What platform are you playing on ? Are you using iCloud/onedrive ?
- 2 years ago@crinrict I'm on Mac/iCloud. I figured iCould was my original issue so I moved stuff around and fixed my settings so it would stop sending my saves into my Cloud. So now they're where they're supposed to be but the new ones still won't show despite being in the right place.
