I'm on a brand new iMac. I have plenty of storage. I haven't logged in in two months, sat down and installed whatever mess of an update EA had to offer and when it opened, it gave me some nonsense about a video card and all of my saved games were gone. This is an EA issue, not a user issue. It would be great if EA could just ONCE admit that they have fallen short again on programming their product properly. I own over 60 add ons and use NO CC or Mods. I will NEVER purchase another EA product.

This is not an EA issue, it is a user/macOS issue as well documented over years of similar posts always pointing to user error or iCloud interference. You're getting the video card error, which you can completely ignore BTW, because the game could not find your Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 folder in your Documents folder so has created a new one. It's very common and in no way impacts game performance.
If you're so inclined you can do a proper search of your Mac to look for your TS4 user data using Terminal. Searching for only save files is always a good start. Enter the following search command in Terminal:
find / -type f -name "*Slot_*" 2>/dev/null
If you don't know how to interpret the results in Terminal copy and paste them here.
