I just opened my game to play and realized I lost ALL my years of saves after the most recent update.
I have a Mac, the saves appear in the documents > ea > the sims 4 > saves folder, but whenever I open the game, it doesn't give me the option to Load Game. Only to start a New Game.
Help, what do I do? I have over 570 hours playing this game and lost it overnight.

You have one save and it is in iCloud. In Finder click on Go > Go to Folder in the menu bar and enter this:
~/Library/Mobile Documents/com~apple~CloudDocs/Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/saves
Then copy or move that Slot_00000002.save file to the local Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > saves folder. It may help to already have that location open in a Finder window so you can simply drag and drop the file.

Did this and unfortunately there is nothing in the saves folder. I'll take it that my saves are gone now.

There is a save in the location I gave you in iCloud, Terminal never lies.
