MacBook Pro \ Mac OS 26.1

I haven't played the game for a month, but when I logged back in after the update, all my saves were gone. There's nothing in the saves folder on my computer. It's like a new game, with a tutorial all over again and no loading times. How can I recover my losses, and why did this happen?
