I've only just downloaded the Sims 4 on to my MacBook and have played it twice, both times I have gone to resume playing my household is nowhere to be found. I've already remade it once thinking maybe I didn't save it the first time (even though I was certain I did), but then the second tine I made sure to triple save it and now I'm trying to load it up again - it's not there again! Help please how do I stop this from happening?

Thank you. I’ve read that this is a common issue and the main way to fix it is to turn off iCloud sync for Desktop & Documents but I can’t do that because I need to use it regularly for work across my devices. So it looks like I won’t be able to play this on my MacBook :(
You can disable Desktop & Documents syncing and still use iCloud Drive and sync across devices by using the iCloud Drive folder in Finder and Files app in iOS and iPadOS. You simply save all your files in iCloud Drive rather than on the Desktop or in Documents.
