Red and White Question Mark on Sims or Maps Issue - Sims 4

Hi all,

I know this question gets asked a bunch however I do not have any CC or mods, where that tends to be the issue so I am having trouble finding a solution unique to my case here.

Some Sims in my game of the white/red question mark skin, and then I had my Sim meet a friend and travel to a social event where the map was full of question marks, and they couldnt move at all/i couldnt get my sim to travel back home and had to quit the game.

I have tried uninstalling from EA and reinstalling with my save file backed up, and when I rebooted, the same issue continued (im friends with a sim who had the skin issue and she still had it upon reinstalling).

Just curious on what the other solutions are for those who DONT have CCs or mods. I really want to play again!

I dont know if it matters but I play on a Macbook? Sims 4
